GOD AND THE POOR

“Can God be in debt?”… yes.

“If you help the poor, you are lending to the LORD--and he will repay you!” (Proverbs 19:17)

God repays when you lend to Him.

Unlike many people, God is truthful, dependable, and will do what He says.

God’s promise to you, “He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses.” (Proverbs 28:27)

When people give to the poor, this is doing what is good.

By giving food to the poor, we extend the lives of others.
We became instrumental for others to survive.

God, seeing that we have extended the lives of the least of our brethren, will bless us so that we may be able to do more good and help more people survive.

The path towards heaven and eternal life is through expressing love and charity towards
fellowmen especially the poor, the needy, and the least of our brethren.

We can never enter heaven without helping others who are in need.

The people who became part of God's kingdom did their part in spreading love, mercy and charity in this world.

There are many opportunities to do what is good, what is helpful, what is merciful, and what is charitable.

Jesus says in John 12:8, “You will always have the poor among you…”

There will always be the needy.

There are millions of people who need food, shelter, and clothing.

There are millions who need your care.

there are many opportunities to do God's work and express through our actions the love of neighbor, the mercy and charity of God to our fellowmen.

But right now, what are you doing to help these millions who are in need?

It is something worthwhile to think- that we do not live in this world for ourselves alone.

Do you work five or six days a week JUST for your OWN needs and the needs of your family?

Ephesians 4:28 says, “work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.”

God gives us jobs and opportunities to earn so that we may have something to give to those who are in need.

Your MOTIVATION to work or to do business MUST BE to have something to share with those in need!

So, ask yourself:

“WILL MY CURRENT WORK/BUSINESS ENABLE ME TO SHARE AND CONTRIBUTE TO OTHER PEOPLE’S LIVES?”

If we take the path towards wealth and abundance, have the aim of helping those who are in need.

Be part of those who help those who are in need, instead of being one of those who is always in need.

Whatever state we are in, it is never too late to help the poor and the needy.

There are people who makes excuses that they are always in lack that they cannot give to others.

I saw the poor children, in their state of lack, are able to share food with each other.

What more can we do, who are more blessed more than the street children, the poor and the needy.

There are people who makes this excuse: "why help the poor and the needy? they are lazy, they do not work, that's why they are poor. I earn what I have, therefore I have no obligation to give to the poor and the needy."

Proverbs 28:27 says,"He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses."

God gave us life... God can take that life in an instant...

The tree that does not bear fruit will be cut off...
Such are the fate who have but does not share with the needy.

Proverbs 14:21 says,"He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who is kind to the needy."

The people who contempt the poor sins...

Proverbs 21:13 says, "If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered."

To the people who turn deaf and blind towards the poor and the needy, do not expect that God will answer your prayers...

As you turn deaf and blind towards the poor, God will also turn deaf and blind to you...

If you do not help the poor and the needy, God will withdraw His blessings upon you... there will come a time that you or your descendants will suffer the same fate as those who are poor and needy... whether in this life or the afterlife....such is the fate of those who contempts the poor and the needy, and do not help them in their need...

May those who help the poor and the needy be blessed with provisions to be able to continue on helping the poor and the needy...

May those who gives food to the poor and share resources with the needy be blessed to be able to further extend help to the less fortunate ones in society...

May this happen through God's will...Amen.
