the Creator created the higher and lower worlds so that all creatures, including domesticated animals, beasts and birds should recognize His divinity and kingdom.

Indeed this is the way it was at the time of Creation when Adam said to all of them, even to the beasts, domesticated animals and birds, “Let us come and bow down before Him,” and this is what they did, and they accepted upon themselves the yoke of His rule.

However after the generation became spoiled, and they all forgot the Creator Who had created them, and they fell from their spiritual level, it was left to man alone to purify his deeds and thereby draw down Divinity onto all of Creation so that all creatures should come to a desire to serve God and recognize the power of His rule as in the beginning.

How does one draw down Divinity onto all of Creation?

Through the Holy Scriptures and prayer.

Through involvement in Holy Scripture study and effort in prayer, songs of praise, etc., one cleaves to God and draws down God’s Divinity on all creatures so that they should receive Divine vitality.

Similarly, when one studies the Holy Scriptures and attaches himself at the time of study and prayer to the letters and essence of the Holy Scriptures which is in fact the root of all that has been created — for there is nothing created in the universe which does not have its root in the letters of the Holy Scriptures — he draws down Divine vitality upon them.

This is because man is “a miniature world” and encompasses within himself all the higher and lower worlds. Therefore he has the ability to join himself with them through Holy Scriptures and prayer to raise them and draw down upon them this Divinity.
