John 5:24

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

THE CAUSE:

1. HEARING THE WORD OF GOD
2. BELIEVING ON GOD WHO SENT CHRIST TO THE WORLD

THE EFFECT:

1. EVERLASTING LIFE
2. WILL NOT COME TO CONDEMNATION
3. PASSED FROM DEATH TO LIFE

MEANING OF HEARING:

1. the act of hearing attentively
2. the ability to hear; the auditory faculty

3. the range within which a voice can be heard

INTERPRETATION:

In hearing the word of God, it means to listen attentively to God's word.
Through listening attentively, one may learn from what one listens.

God is the beginning and end of all truth... By "hearing" God's word, one comes to the truth, and the truth shall set free the one who hears God's words...

By listening attentively to the word of God, one opens the door to one's own mind, so that the Word of God enters to the being of that person...

The word of God is alive, and if that person "truly believes in God and the Christ," the word of God received by that person through hearing, shall manifest in the life of that person, and that person will act in accordance to God's word.

Example: 1 John 4:12 states:

No one has ever seen God;
but if we love one another,
God lives in us and His love
is made complete in us.

If one "hears" this word of God, listens attentively by heart...
and believe in God and the Christ- the person will love and manifest love in one's life...

That person will "live" the virtue of "love"...

"Love" makes manifest "God" in that person...
Through "loving one another," God's love becomes complete in us and God lives in us...

One may know many things, or even be the most powerful person in the world...
But without "love" and without "God" in us. everything becomes hollow and empty inside...
Life loses it's meaning without "love"... and without "God"...

If one would pay attention to "God's word", believe in "God and the Christ," the word of God is made manifest in one's life... That manifestation comes in listening to God's word and believing in God and the Christ... One lives what one believes in... The principle one believes is the cornerstone of the actions undertaken by the person believing...

if one believs in God and the Christ, one lives God and Christ and the principles that God and the Christ stands for, which is "God's word."

The principal cornerstone of God and Christ is "LOVE."
From "LOVE", all positive virtues spring forth...
By loving one another as God loved us, God is made manifest in us....
By loving the way God loved us, we "live" and not merely "exist."

By loving as God loved us, even if we die physically, our souls live on, and persist in the Presence of God... For those who "LOVE" has 'GOD WITHIN."

Out of that Love comes the virtues of compassion, charity, mercy, respect, kindness, meekness, humbleness, gentleness, concern, gratitude, and all the positive virtues there is...

Through God's word, living God's word, and living the "Cornerstone Principle: LOVE OF GOD," one passes from death to life, and one will not be condemned but have "life everlasting" which is beyond our physical death.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOREVER AND EVER. AMEN.
