HUMILITY

1 Corinthians 1:28-29 And God chose what is insignificant in the world, what is despised, what is nothing, in order to destroy what is something, so that no one may boast in God's presence.

Things that are nothing, despised, and insignificant are what God chose to destroy what is something. This is done so that no one can boast in His presence.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by such grace you have been saved through faith. This does not come from you; it is the gift of God and not the result of works, to put a stop to all boasting.

God hates boasting... That is why God chose the humble to be exalted...

James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

God brings down the boastful, the proud and the arrogant....and exalts the humble...

Proverbs 29:23 A man's pride will bring him low, But a humble spirit will obtain honor

Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes dishonor, But with the humble is wisdom.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before stumbling.

Proverbs 18:12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, But humility goes before honor.

Matthew 23:12 "Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.

Luke 14:11 "For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Luke 18:14 "I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted."

James 4:6 But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, "GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE."

James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.
