1 JOHN 4:16 (posted July 3, 2010)

TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOREVER AND EVER. AMEN.

SHARING TO YOU THIS VERSE: 1 JOHN 4:16

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.

EXPLANATION:
The key points to ponder on this verse are:

1. To know the love of God
2. To rely on the love of God
3. To live in God's love

The knowledge of the love of God is made perfect through the knowledge of the son of God:

In John 3:16 it is written:

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

It is also written in Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Note: What love God has for us that He gave His only begotten son to suffer in this world just for us to be saved from eternal damnation.

To rely on the love of God, one needs to have faith in God and in Christ.
Faith in Christ is the entry point of the love which God offered to us:

John 3:36 "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."
John 6:40 "For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day."
John 11:25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,

To live in God's love:

It is written in 2 John 1:6
And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands.
As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

It is written in 1 John 2:5
but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him:

Colossians3:12
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Note: Be compassionate, kind, humble, gentle and patient...
These are the virtues that God wants us to have as His chosen people.

IMPORTANT VERSES THAT SHOWS CONCRETE WAYS ABOUT LIVING IN CHRIST'S LOVE:

1 John 3:17
If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?

Note: the love of God is absent in a person who has no pity: those who see others in need and does not help, even if that person has the means to help, there is no love of God in that person's heart.

1 John 4:20
If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar;
for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen,
cannot love God whom he has not seen

Note: How can you love God who is unseen if you cannot love your fellow human being whom you see everyday? Therefore, to love others as ourselves is a necessary step in loving God.

AN IMPORTANT VERSE ABOUT ONE WAY TO CLEANSE ONESELF INSIDE:

Luke 11:41
But rather give alms of such things as you have;
and, behold, all things are clean to you.

note: Giving alms cleanses oneself

IMPORTANT VERSE TO RECEIVE THE BLESSING OF GOD:

Deuteronomy 15:10
You shall surely give him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him: because that for this thing the LORD your God shall bless you in all your works, and in all that you put your hand to.

NOTE: Give for the poor and the needy, without a grieving heart, so that you receive the blessing of God.

May those who donate to us for the missionary works, for the outreach, and for the charity works receive blessings from God, in accordance to the will of God, in accordance to the Word of God.

May this post be of help...

To God be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Ka Mon

NOTE: At this time, I may not be able to do outreach for the reason of lack of funds... The funds are already spent yesterday for the sake of those who need it.

Thanking the people who have helped us along the way.
Whatever happens, I entrust to God everything.

Thanking the God of Gods, Lord of Lords for everything.
To God be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
